Lake Effect Rain/Snow Showers This Afternoon and Evening

When I was just driving down Route 287 in Northern Morris County I saw some of the Lake Effect rain/snow showers that I was talking about all week.  It was rain at ground level, but I could see the snow falling out of the clouds and making it at least half way to the ground before melting and changing to rain.  I think it is possible that some of the highest elevations in Northern New Jersey or Southern New York State could have seen some snow mixed in with the rain showers. These are Lake Effect showers coming off of Lake Ontario.  The first snow of the season (almost).
