To Give You an Idea

The storm as currently depicted by the European model off shore of New Jersey, just prior to landfall, is MORE intense than Hurricane Katrina reached at maximum intensity.  Again, this is just a model projection, it is not reality just yet.  At the moment it is just model fantasy.  The question is, will it become a reality?  The next run of the European model comes out by 2:45 and I will post an update by then.  For now, I can tell you that the U.S. Navy model, the ensemble mean of the American model, the ensemble mean of the Canadian model, and some other models all indicate the potential of what the European model is showing.
