Things are looking quite nice through Thursday, although it
will be cooler today with highs probably staying in the 50’s in most
locations. Temperatures will warm
tomorrow though to the middle 60’s and then the upper 60’s on Thursday. Clouds will start to increase on Thursday
afternoon ahead of a strong upper level low-pressure area that will drop down
into our area from Canada. This system
will draw copious moisture into our area from the Gulf of Mexico and the
Atlantic Ocean, bringing with it the chance for heavy showers and thunderstorms
on Friday. There could be more than 2
inches of rain on Friday with the heavy showers and thunderstorms, which would
cause flash flooding in some locations as the rain will come down very hard in
a short time-period, so stay tuned.
After this storm on Friday, things will clear out with just a slight
chance of a shower on Saturday, then sunny weather through next Thursday. Things will also be quite warm behind this
storm system, warming well into the 70’s next week ahead of a cold front on
Wednesday night. Things may finally cool
down and feel autumn like again starting next Thursday.
