UPDATE - STILL WAITING ON EUROPEAN MODEL BY 2:45

It finally figured out that the storm is going to come inland and not go out into the middle of the Atlantic.  It however, as usual, has not quite figured it all out yet and brings the storm inland in Maine.  It should figure out by this time tomorrow that it will hit us and not Maine.  Anyway, it does produce one of the strongest storms ever and would affect us with strong winds and heavy rains, even if it hit Maine as the American model is showing, but it won't.  The point here to take away from the American model is that it will be coming inland in the Northeast and not going out into the Atlantic Ocean.  The more important thing of note is that the ensemble mean of the American model is identical to the European model, showing the eye of Sandy coming ashore at Sandy Hook or Staten Island as an incredibly intense storm.  The U.S. Navy model is nearly identical as well.  In fact all of the models are now showing ONE OF THE STRONGEST, IF NOT STRONGEST STORM I HAVE EVER SEEN MODELED. Just waiting on the new run of the European model now, out by 2:45.
