What is Really Helping Us Right Now

What is really helping us right now is that there are no thunderstorms to bring the extremely high winds down to the ground.  If there were any thunderstorms with this storm no one would have power right now and there wold be tremendous destruction.  We are getting rather lucky so far. Of course as I am typing this the power is starting to blink.
