European Model Update and Snowfall Accumulation Forecast Update
The European model came in exactly in line with my expectations and my forecast for the past couple of weeks, however it is slightly dryer than what I would have thought considering the strength and placement of the low pressure. In addition, there is a chance that the snow could take a little while before it starts to accumulate while the temperatures are dropping from the middle 30's to the lower 30's. The way it appears right now, if every single flake of snow stuck immediately, it would not probably amount to more than 5 inches of snow anywhere if the models are currently correct. With these things in mind, I am going to modify my snowfall forecast to 2-5 inches for all areas of Northern New Jersey. The snow should start around 10-11am and end early on Thursday morning.
