We will continue to see some very nice weather this week, as
our pre-Thanksgiving Nor’easter remains well out to sea. Temperatures will gradually increase through
Friday, with the high on Thanksgiving Day reaching the middle 50’s, and the
middle to upper 50’s on Friday. A cold front will then come through early on
Saturday, bringing cooler temperatures and a slight chance of a rain or snow
shower on Saturday and a slight chance of a snow shower on Sunday. Monday should then be a nice day, prior to a
warm front approaching our area early next Tuesday morning, bringing with it a
slight chance of light rain, light snow, light sleet, or light freezing rain
early in the morning, then a slight chance of a shower in the afternoon. Next
Wednesday should then be variably cloudy with just a slight chance of a shower,
and it will be mild as warm air surges north ahead of the next cold front that
will likely pass through our area next Thursday. Things may then get interesting as there is a possibility
that a storm may form along that front, and the form of precipitation that we
receive, if the storm does indeed form, will be dependent upon whether the
front moves through our area before or after the storm moves into our
area. The timing of this possible potential
storm now appears to be Thursday or Friday of next week. Again, on a
side note, the bowling team at Indian Hills High School in Oakland, NJ is doing
a fundraiser for Superstorm Sandy relief.
I would encourage everyone who reads this blog to consider donating $20
to Superstorm Sandy relief, and with your donation, you will receive a “The
Edge Weather” T-shirt. Again, proceeds
will be going to Superstorm Sandy relief, and will benefit people who were
affected by this terrible storm. If you
attend Indian Hills High School or know someone who does, please see an Indian Hills
bowler, Mr. Michels, someone from the Technology Department, or Mr. Edgerton
with your donation of $20 cash, or check made payable to “Indian Hills High
School”. Thank you.
