Well, the storm yesterday came out about exactly how I
expected with a few minor exceptions. The
storm shifted slightly to the east at the last minute, providing higher snow
totals to the eastern sections and slightly lower snow totals to the western sections
of Northern New Jersey. Looking to the
future, fortunately we are getting a much needed break over the next 10 days,
with only next Tuesday getting in the way of the nice weather with showers and thunderstorms,
which could be heavy, as a strong cold front comes through our area. It will be getting gradually warmer each day
through Monday when temperatures will likely peak in the middle 60’s in most
sections. Temperatures will then cool
back to normal behind the cold front on Wednesday and through the following
weekend. I am already watching for the
possibility of another storm in our area for Thanksgiving week. It is impossible to give details as to timing
or type of precipitation this far in advance, but right now, it looks like this
could be a long-lasting multi-day storm during the week of November 18-25. Stay tuned.
