We will see some very active weather developing over the
next week as a global pattern change is under way. As a result, the models are having a very
difficult time putting all the pieces together, as we get toward the end of
next week. There will be three storms
moving our way over the next week. The
first one is quite weak and will move through tomorrow with just a slight
chance of a snow shower in the morning and a slight chance of a rain shower in the
afternoon. Showers will then be likely
on Sunday night. The second storm will
move through our area on Monday, bringing a chance of a shower in the morning, and
then showers will be likely in the afternoon, with rain heavy at times on
Monday night. This storm will then pull
cold air down as it starts to move away from our area, bringing a chance of
snow showers for Tuesday night and early on Wednesday morning. Then we have to watch for the storm that I
have been talking about all week. The
storm for Friday is likely to be the most intense of the three storms. This storm is still too far away to know
exactly how it will develop. The only
thing that I know so far is that the storm is likely to be quite intense and to
quickly pull the cold air down from Canada after it develops. Where it develops will make all the
difference as to whether we get rain or snow on Friday, and how much. In addition, this pattern is likely to last
much of the winter, so how this Friday storm develops may be a good indication
as to how the whole winter will go, as the pattern change should be complete by
next Friday. Looking past the Friday
storm, a similar storm will be likely the following Wednesday or Thursday the
26th or 27th. Check
back for updates.
