Well, those of you hoping for some snow and a white
Christmas will not like this forecast. It now appears that the global pattern change
taking place, will not produce the snowy pattern that it appeared it might a
week ago. The pattern we are going into
is very close to one that often produces snowy outcomes here, but it is not
enough to make it happen apparently. In
many ways, this is reminiscent of last winter when we got the October 29
snowstorm, and then we did not see snow the rest of the winter. This year we had one of the snowiest
Novembers ever, and now it does not snow.
In fact, as of the model runs this morning, there is no sign of snow
anytime in the near future. We will see
several storms over the next 10 days, but they should all be rain. The heaviest of the rain should occur on
Monday night, and again on Thursday night.
Heavy rain is likely on Thursday night.
I will certainly let you know if anything changes, but that is how it
looks right now.
