Evening Update

The European, Japanese and British models all bring us a little snow tonight.  I will go with the European model which shows a dusting to an inch for Sussex, Warren, Western Morris, and Northern Passaic Counties, and 1-2 inches for Eastern Morris, Southern Passaic, Bergen, Union, Essex, and Hudson Counties, with 2-3 inches for coastal sections of New Jersey.  The snow should start around 9pm and end around 3am.  The Japanese model shows a little more than that and the British model a little less, while the American models show basically nothing.  Of course it is possible the American models are correct this time but the Japanese model actually did the best of all the models with the last storm, and it again shows us getting the most of all the models.  Just my best guess everyone.  It is always possible we could get nothing, but it is also possible we could get 2 inches.  As far as next week goes, there are still chances of storms on Tuesday and Friday next week but at this point it does NOT appear that the Tuesday storm will have a big impact on our area, although I will keep a close eye on it.  As far as the Friday storm goes, right now it actually appears right now as if the storm could possibly go west of us, bringing warmer in with it, causing the precipitation to possibly fall as rain or ice.  Way too early to tell for sure on either one of these storms though.  After all, we aren't even sure what is going to happen in a few hours right now.  Check back for updates.
