A storm system will move out of the southeastern United
States today and in our direction tonight, bringing some clouds and the slight
chance of some flurries or light snow, with a dusting of accumulation possible
in some locations. Things will then be
nice through Monday. On Monday night a low-pressure
system may form near the Delmarva Peninsula as a strong cold front approaches
our area. This low-pressure system may
develop into a Nor’easter, head off the coast, and bring us a chance of snow on
Monday night and Tuesday. There are many
questions as to whether this storm will develop, and the track that it will
take if it does develop. It will then
get quite cold behind this storm, with temperatures dropping to the single
digits for lows by Thursday morning and highs only around 30 on Tuesday and
Wednesday. There will then be a chance
of another storm forming near the coast on Friday, again bringing a chance of
snow, but again, there are many questions as to whether this storm will develop
and the track it will take if it does develop.
So, two chances of significant storms next week, but no guarantee that
either one will affect our area, but the possibility is there. Check back for updates.
