Evening Run of the Medium-Range American Model
The evening run of the medium-range American model just brought the storm MUCH further north, in fact this is getting funny actually. It brings Northern New Jersey and New York City 3-6 inches from west to east across the state, and it actually brings eastern New England a major snowstorm now as well. The 1-2 foot swath of snow would run from Northern Virginia, northeast to southern New Jersey, eastern Long Island, and eastern New England. Amazing. It is phasing the storm with a piece of energy dropping down from Canada. This is the difference between the models showing the storm coming north and remaining to the south. The American model often does better with northern stream systems, so I am actually starting to think that our model could be correct, and if that is the case, this could get worse.
