Evening Update, 2-4 Inches Likely

I probably should have left my forecast of 2-4 inches in place for tonight into tomorrow morning.  I backed down last night as the models backed down a bit, but now the models, and especially the European model came back in force with this little event tonight.  What is happening is that a very strong piece of upper level energy is diving down from the Great Lakes, past us and towards the massive and intense Nor'easter that is well off the coast, pulling the moisture from the Nor'easter back toward us.  This is causing snow to break out in our area and it will continue through the night, on and off and at varying intensities until it ends in the late morning or around noon with accumulations ranging from 2-4 inches across Northern New Jersey.  After this storm passes, the weekend will be beautiful, with temperatures around 50 from Saturday through Tuesday.  Then on Tuesday a storm will bring us some rain, then the temperatures will get cold again toward the end of next week with some snow shower chances.
