Short-Range American Model

The latest short-range American model has about 10-15 inches of snow for Northern New Jersey and has held steady from the last model run.  In this total I am including the fact that I think accumulations will be difficult during the day on Wednesday when temperatures are a bit above freezing.  The model shows the snow starting around noon on Wednesday, with the significant snow ending on Thursday afternoon, but some light snow continuing on and off possibly until Friday morning.  It really stalls the storm out now.  This is similar to what some of the models were showing a week ago.  Remember I said this previously?  It seems that the models have a problem in the medium range.  They have these storms in the long range and then lose them, then bring them back only a couple of days before the storm.  The winds will also be strong with this storm, probably classifying it as a blizzard in some locations if the American model is correct.
