Monday, September 23rd, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion

We will see some absolutely perfect weather for the next week as a storm system that could have caused us some serious problems is heading off the coast of the Southeastern United States and heading out to sea rather than merging with a system over the Great Lakes.  This will allow for nearly perfect weather over the next week with sunny skies most days and highs from the mid 60’s today to the upper 60’s tomorrow and the low 70’s from Wednesday through Saturday, then possibly the low to mid 70’s on Sunday.  Next Monday a storm system may be approaching from the west, bringing some clouds into our area next Monday and possibly some showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday and they could be heavy at times on Wednesday of next week.  As I stated yesterday, we will then have to watch for the possibility of a tropical system moving towards the East Coast from the Caribbean Sea.  It is still a very long way out, but this appears on the models again this morning and there is a possibility that this system could merge with another system dropping down from Canada, bringing not only rain to our area for the following weekend two weeks from now, but much cooler weather as well.  That is still a very long way out though and anything is possible, so check back for updates.  Have a great day everyone!
