Thursday, September 26th, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion

We will see beautiful weather through the weekend although a tropical storm will be developing off the Atlantic Coast and moving north.  Fortunately at the same time that this tropical storm is forming a cold front will be moving towards the East Coast from the west.  This cold front will prevent the developing Tropical Storm from moving inland and will keep it safely out to sea, likely not making landfall until reaching Nova Scotia, Canada.  With the passage of the cold front on Monday and Tuesday we will only see a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm, strangely however, after the cold front passes the temperatures will WARM quite dramatically, reaching the mid 80’s by the middle of next week. Toward the end of next week another cold front will approach, bringing a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm next Friday, and showers and thunderstorms will be likely next Saturday.  The next system to then watch will be for the early to middle part of the following week as a slow-moving upper level low pressure area may be traversing the United States, bringing us the chance for rain and much cooler temperatures by the end of that week.
