Thursday, September 19th, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion

Well, it looks like we will be getting a reprieve from the possible big storm for the middle of next week as the latest model runs do NOT bring the pieces for this big storm together and therefore the storm will remain over the southeastern United States and then it will head safely out to sea.  In the mean time we will see some beautiful weather today and tomorrow with highs in the mid 70’s today and the upper 70’s tomorrow.  Saturday should be a nice day for the most part but a cold front will be approaching, bringing with it increasing cloudiness during the day with showers and thunderstorms likely at night and into early Sunday morning and they will likely be heavy at times. There should then be clearing on Sunday afternoon, leading to a beautiful workweek next week with highs mainly in the 70’s.  The next chance for rain would then be next weekend as another cold front will approach our area.  At the moment there are signs of scattered tropical development from time to time, but nothing that appears to be very significant or any threat to our area over the next 2 weeks.  Of course we are all concerned about the late October time frame for good reason but we will just have to wait and see what happens this year.  Check back for daily updates.
