Wednesday, September 11th, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion

Well, it will be amazingly hot today with highs in the low 90’s and just a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm.  Tomorrow a strong cold front will approach bringing with it showers and thunderstorms starting in the late morning or early afternoon, possibly becoming heavy at times and continuing into the night.  The high will be in the low 80’s.  We should then see an extended period of nice weather with seasonal temperatures as highs will be in the 60’s to low 70’s and lows will be from the 40’s to the low 60’s through the rest of the two week period.   There remain two possibilities for tropical development to threaten the United States over the next two weeks, as there is a slight chance that a tropical system could develop in the Western Gulf of Mexico this weekend and threaten either Northern Mexico or Southwest Texas early next week, then toward the following weekend there is a slight chance that a tropical system could move westward out of the Caribbean Sea and then into the Gulf of Mexico.  We shall see.  Just get ready for the heat today!
