Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion
Well, the storm that is moving off the Southeast Coast and threatened last week to bring us some bad weather right about now will be heading out to sea, then it will develop over the warm Gulf Stream waters and take a sharp left hand turn and head right for us. Luckily a cold front will be approaching from the west at the same time that the storm is heading for us and at the moment it looks as if the cold front will win the battle and keep this storm just far enough off shore on Sunday that it will only affect our area with some clouds and possibly a bit of light rain and highs surf along the coast on Sunday and Sunday night. The effects may be a bit greater in Eastern New England on Sunday night however. After this we should have just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm on Monday and Tuesday and then a beautiful Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It should also be quite warm next week with highs mainly in the mid 70’s. Next weekend a strong upper level low pressure area will likely be traversing the United States and heading our way. This storm is likely to be slow moving and will bring us a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm next Saturday, with showers and thunderstorms likely to be heavy at times from Sunday through Tuesday of the following week.
