The heavy rain should arrive in the late morning or early
afternoon and will be heavy at times with localized small stream flash
flooding. The rain should then come to
an end around nightfall leaving us with a nice Tuesday and Wednesday. Enjoy it because those are likely to be the
nicest days we see for a while. Thursday
the clouds will increase as a storm system develops off the East Coast and
moves in our direction. There is a quite
a bit of uncertainty with the exact time of the arrival of this system but
right now it appears that it will arrive on Friday afternoon, bringing a chance
of showers and thunderstorms for Friday
afternoon and night, followed by rain heavy at times for the rest of the
weekend. The low clouds and rain from
this storm will also keep it cool with a high around 60 on Saturday, and only
in the mid to upper 50’s on Sunday. The
showers should finally come to an end next Monday morning, followed by a decent
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week, with only a slight chance of a
shower or thunderstorm each day. Another
storm will approach, this time from the west, for next Friday, bringing another
chance of showers and thunderstorms, with much colder air behind this
storm. As we head into the following
weekend it appears that we will have our first chance of a vegetation killing
freeze.
