Happy first day of October!
We will see some amazingly warm weather for this time of year and it
will likely last for about the next 10 days as highs reach the upper 70’s
today, the low to mid 80’s tomorrow, drop back for a day on Thursday to the
upper 70’s, then rise again to the low to mid 80’s on Friday, the mid 80’s on
Saturday, and finally culminating in highs in the mid to upper 80’s on Sunday
prior to dropping back to the low to mid 80’s on Monday. Next week we will see lots of tropical
moisture threaten us, although it does not currently appear as if any of these
systems will be organized areas of low pressure. This will bring us a chance of some heavy
rain next Tuesday and Thursday, with chances for showers and thunderstorms many
of the other days next week. Finally,
after the second area of moisture moves through next Thursday, autumn like
temperatures may return to our area. In
fact, the models are currently showing a major dump of cold air into most of
Canada and the United States at the end of the two-week period. This could set up some areas of the
Northeastern United States for some chances at late October snow. We shall see.
