Saturday, October 12th, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion
We will continue to have variably cloudy skies through Wednesday with a slight chance of a shower today, Monday, and Tuesday. On Thursday a cold front will approach, bringing with it some showers and thunderstorms, and then we should have a nice Friday and Saturday. On Sunday a storm system will approach from the west, bringing us some rain for Sunday. After this storm passes it will cool down quite dramatically, with morning lows dropping to the 30’s. It is hard to pin-point which day will be the first frost or freeze, but it will likely happen during that week. This same week we may also have our first snowflakes of the season as Lake Effect snow showers are likely to develop from the Great Lakes and some of them may very well make it into our area at some point during that week. In addition, we will need to keep an eye on any other storms that might develop during this time frame as cold air will definitely be available.
