Sunday, October 20th, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion
What is amazing is how pretty much every storm or cold front we have seen pass by for the past month or so has been rather dry. They look in the long range as if they may develop into something, then as we get closer in time they die out. This may be what will happen with the next two potential storms as well. Already the Wednesday storm has done this, looking in the long range like it might be something significant, now looking like at most a bit of rain. Now the potential storm for next Sunday and the one for the following Wednesday is starting to look the same. We shall see how it all works out, but at the moment I don’t see anything very strong affecting our area at all. The main headline will be the cold air that will move into our area starting on Wednesday, with some snow showers possible as soon as Wednesday night, and scattered snow showers possible for Thursday and Friday as the cold air flows across the much warmer water of the Great Lakes. The lows from Thursday through Sunday will be in the low to mid 30’s with some upper 20’s likely in the colder locations, with highs around 50 each day. Then a storm may form for next Sunday and again for next Wednesday but right now neither of these look particularly interesting. Check back for updates in case something changes. We could all use a break though from the craziness of late October in the past two years.
