Thursday, October 17th, 2013 - Morning Weather Discussion

Warm air will stream ahead of a weak storm system that will approach our area tonight, bringing with it a chance of a shower this afternoon but highs will reach the low to mid 70’s today.  Showers will be likely tonight, followed by a mostly sunny and nice, but cool day tomorrow.  Clouds will once again increase on Saturday morning as another weak storm system approaches our area bringing a chance of a shower on Saturday afternoon, with showers again likely at night.  Sunday and Monday should then be nice but cool, with highs both days near 60.  Tuesday will once again feature increasing cloudiness as another storm system approaches our area, with a chance of a shower in the afternoon or evening.  After this storm passes next Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, temperatures will drop dramatically bringing a good chance for us to see our first snowflakes at some point by the end of next week as the highs will be mainly around 50 from Wednesday through Saturday and lows in the 30’s.  Then next Sunday we will have increasing cloudiness as another storm system is likely to approach our area.  This storm has the potential to develop into a significant storm for our area and with the cold air in place there is a chance that it could be a significant snowstorm for someone in the Northeastern United States depending upon where exactly it develops.  If the storm develops to our west or over us it will be rain.  If the storm develops to our south and east and remains off shore it would have the potential to a significant early season snowstorm for our area.  It is still MUCH too early to tell how this will develop, or if it will develop at all.  Check back for updates.
