Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 - Evening Weather Discussion

The warm weather will continue through Sunday, and possibly into Monday, and it will actually be downright hot on Sunday with highs reaching the mid to upper 80's and it will be humid as well.  In the mean time a tropical wave is moving into the Gulf of Mexico as we speak and may very well develop into a tropical storm over the next couple of days and then make landfall near Panama City, Florida, early on Sunday morning, then move up the coast on Sunday, reaching our area on Monday.  This system will of course rapidly weaken and become extra-tropical as it reaches land on Sunday, but as it heads north it will likely combine forces with an approaching cold front to bring us heavy rain on Monday and Monday night, very possibly bringing some flash flooding to our area by Monday night.  After this we should clear out and cool down starting on Tuesday of next week.
