European Model Control Run

The control run of the European model has just come out and has a more interesting solution than the operational run of the model.  It brings us some fairly heavy rain next Wednesday, which is honestly quite close to being snow as it moves the cold air out just in time to produce rain, but it is cold enough for snow just prior to the storm entering our area and just after it passes, but rain while it is over us.  It then brings a second weaker storm through our area for the following Saturday and this storm might just be cold enough to bring us our first snow, if of course it all works out like the model is currently showing.  Keep in mind that at this range, 8-11 days out in time, no model is particularly good at the details, it is just the potential that you are looking at in this range.  And it definitely appears that there is the possibility of some interesting weather around here come the middle to end of next week.  Full update coming out in about an hour.
