Saturday, November 9th - Evening Weather Discussion
Well, I am really about to give up on the Wednesday night and Thursday storm. We are still however likely to see some snow on Tuesday morning with the passage of the cold front and it could possibly even cause some problems for travel as we may very possibly see some heavy snow squalls as the front passes in the morning. The snow showers and squalls will have the potential to whiten the ground in many locations on Tuesday morning and could make some roads slippery for a brief period during the morning rush on Tuesday. The snow showers should start around 2 am on Tuesday morning and end around 8-9 am on Tuesday morning with a dusting to an inch of accumulation possible, especially in the higher elevations. Things should however clear out on Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures will drop to the low to mid 20's on Wednesday and Thursday morning. High temperatures will gradually warm from the mid to upper 30's on Wednesday to the mid 50's on Saturday. The next chance of rain will be the following Monday and Tuesday as another strong cold front approaches our area. I will post my next update tomorrow morning and I would keep checking back here in case the big storm decides to reappear, or just to get an update on the possible snow showers and squalls with the arctic frontal passage on Tuesday morning. I could actually see that being a bit more impressive than many people think. I think some people may end up being surprised on Tuesday morning. I believe some areas will definitely see a bit of a whitening of the ground, and possibly even the roads, right in time for rush hour on Tuesday morning. I would not be surprised if some of the higher elevations managed to get up to an inch in some locations.
