A Bit Conerned

I am a bit concerned about the ice potential with this storm.  I think this is being underplayed by everyone a bit.  In fact the National Weather Service was forecasting this to be mostly snow in Northeast New Jersey and is now starting to understand the potential for more ice, but I think they still are not understanding that this may be even more ice than their forecast.  In fact, I bet it will be.  I can see this being 4-6 inches of snow in Northeast New Jersey, but the concern would be that if temperatures don't get above freezing late tonight at the surface, I truly believe there could be a half inch of ice in some places.  This could lead to power outages, especially as it soaks into the snow on the trees and power lines, weighing things down.  I don't think this potential is being talked about enough.  This could also definitely be a possibility in Northwest New Jersey as well.  I am definitely a bit concerned about this possibility and I am surprised there is not more talk about this.  There is a chance though that temperatures could get above freezing in Northeastern New Jersey early tomorrow morning and that would help out a lot, however, if temperatures remain below freezing and we get significant icing, especially in Northeast New Jersey, be prepared for possible power outages late tonight and tomorrow morning.
