Concerns Growing for Tuesday
As of the moment, the European model from last night has us down for about 1-2 inches on Tuesday morning, with a second impulse bringing us another half inch to an inch on Tuesday night. The Canadian model has us down for 2-3 inches of snow. The British model has us down for 2-4 inches of snow, and the American model has us down for about an inch with the first impulse on Tuesday morning and with the second one on Tuesday night. For some reason the British and Canadian models have this as one bigger storm, combining the snow totals. The short-range American model that just came out has the same result, with all of Northern New Jersey receiving 3-4 inches of snow, starting between 6-7 am and ending around 12-1 pm. We will just have to wait and see how all of this works out. One thing I can say from past experience though is that the American models do tend to do better with these types of northern stream impulses. This one is dropping down from Canada and is all northern stream related, so our models should do a decent job with this storm. Oh, yeah and we don't have to worry about any mixing with this storm, this one will be all snow.
