European Model for Next Weekend - Big Concerns!

Anything remains possible for next weekend, however one thing is becoming quite clear.  There is a very real possibility of a significant winter storm next weekend.  The various models mostly show a mixture of precipitation for us at this time.  However, they all show a very significant storm that has the potential to be a real problem for a large part of the country, and very possibly us as well.  The last run of the European model had us at 60 degrees early next week with a big rainstorm, but like I said, I did not buy it.  Taken verbatim, the latest run of the European model that just came out would have one of the worst ice storms I have ever seen for our area, with around 2 inches of freezing rain.  This would be devastating if it were to occur.  Of course, this is still a very long way out in time and anything is possible.  Depending on the track this monster storm takes, someone will get 18 inches to 2 feet of snow, someone will likely get a devastating ice storm, with 1.50 to 2.00 inches of freezing rain, and someone will be 60 degrees with rain.  Which one will we be?  Stay tuned.  The timing of this storm currently looks to be from Saturday night through Monday morning.  This storm and the upcoming storm on Tuesday are very much what I have been talking about for some time now.  We are in a very volatile weather pattern where storms can pop up at any time with little notice and be quite intense.  This winter pattern is the worst I have seen in 20 years.  Stay tuned for important updates and be sure to tell all of your friends, neighbors, relatives, and co-workers about this blog. Thank you.
