European Model Gets a Bit Warmer Still Tonight
The European model continues to suggest that this turns to rain late tonight in Northeast New Jersey.   I certainly hope so, because if it doesn't the freezing rain will definitely be a problem as I said in my post earlier as the model continues to look warmer.  Luckily it does get Northeast New Jersey well above freezing, changing this rain. Unfortunately the same is not true in Northwest New Jersey where the model keeps ground temperatures below freezing throughout the storm.  I am definitely concerned about the possibility of power outages in areas where temperatures remain below freezing.  The precipitation will become very heavy this evening.  I still wonder about the snowfall amounts being increased in Northeast New Jersey again.  Especially with the model getting this much warmer tonight.  Of course we could still get pounded between now and then though, so let's see what happens.  It has just picked up in intensity here quite a bit.
