I will
stick with my prior forecast of 4-6 inches in Northeast New Jersey with a
quarter inch of ice and 6-8 inches in Northwest New Jersey with a tenth of an
inch of ice. The latest American model snowfall
projection map best highlights my thoughts nearly exactly, click here or on the
map below to view it. I think I am pretty safe with that forecast
right now and I feel fairly confident with it.
If I am going to bust with the forecast I think it would be with being a
bit too low in Northeast New Jersey but I will stick with it for now. I will give this another look first thing in
the morning and knowing me I will be up in the middle of the night or early in
the morning as well, so check back any time.
I will likely give my projected totals another revision tomorrow morning
for the last time, but right now this is the way I see it. The snow will end prior to sunrise on Sunday morning. The
heaviest of the snow will occur between 4 pm and 11 pm. The next storm to
be concerned about will be on Tuesday when we could get a half of an inch to an
inch of snow on both the morning and evening on Tuesday. Then it will get
quite warm with high temperatures into the 50's on Friday and into early
Saturday before the bottom drops out later on Saturday morning. On
Saturday the model is projecting temperatures of near 60 degrees at 1am on Saturday
morning and at 7 am it has temperatures around 30 with rain on Friday night
into Saturday morning, possibly changing to some light snow later on Saturday
morning. Then the storm that I thought was timed for next Monday may very
well come a day early, next Sunday instead. This storm is still a long
way out and anything is possible right now. After that storm, the next storm of interest to me is on my radar for Friday, December 27th right now. Have a nice evening and please tell all of your family, friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers about this blog. Thank you. Let it snow!!!
