Snow should start between 2-5 pm from southwest to northeast across the region and will start mixing with sleet between 10 pm and 1 am from south to north across the region.  It will then start changing to freezing rain and finally rain between 4 am and 8 am from southeast to northwest across Northern New Jersey.  Total possible accumulations prior to the changeover are 2-3 inches.  Click here or on the picture below to view the projected snowfall from the short-range American model which looks very similar to the European model snowfall output projection.
