This has been some crazy weather lately. Yesterday morning I woke up and it was 4 degrees. This morning the temperatures reached 58 degrees at my weather station, followed by a 42 mph wind gust as the front passed, which is actually the highest wind gust I have ever recorded since I have had a weather station as I have always been in valleys. Even with Superstorm Sandy the highest wind gust I recorded was 37 mph before the power cut out. Now we are headed possibly below zero for tomorrow morning. Some areas may remain slightly above zero while others may get to about 5 below zero. The next chance of precipitation will be a chance for some flurries or a bit of light snow on Thursday and Friday but neither day looks to have a chance of anything more than a dusting at most now. Then we will have rain and warmth on Saturday, with heavy rain possible in the afternoon on Saturday and a high likely reaching the low to mid 50's late in the day. Then another storm will likely bring us a chance for some rain on Monday night. After that we will just have to wait and see what the middle to end of next week bring. I remain interested in this time period for the possibility of a significant snowstorm, even though no model currently shows this. We shall see. Have a nice evening.
