My Wednesday storm, that I declared back on Wednesday, January 1st, a week and a half ago, has come back on the models in a BIG way. I have to be honest, I thought for the past few days that this storm was in trouble. Well, it is back, and in a big way. The European model has it as a moderate snowstorm on Wednesday and the American model has it as a significant snowstorm for us on Wednesday. We shall see, but in any event, upgrade my Wednesday forecast from a slight chance of snow to a full chance of snow and remove the chance for Thursday, as we have the timing now. The timing for the possible Wednesday snow event would be starting on Wednesday morning and ending on Wednesday evening. The rest of the forecast from this morning remains the same at this point. Again, no guarantees yet and we still need to get through the two flooding rain events, the potentially very serious one tomorrow, then the potentially serious one on Tuesday as well. Below is the post I made on this possible storm back on Wednesday, January 1st.
Date is centered around Wednesday, January 15th. As always, give me a day leeway either way, but I see signs of a potentially very significant storm centered around this date. Of course it is WAY too early tell whether we would be dealing with rain or snow, or a combination. This storm should be quite intense as it moves along the Gulf Coast and then heads northeast in our direction.
