The snow will start between 9 am and 11 am from west to east
and will become heavy at times this afternoon and evening, ending between 12
midnight and 3 am from west to east with total accumulations of 5-10 inches for all of Northern
New Jersey. Some locations in Central
New Jersey will likely receive 10-15 inches.
After the storm passes it will be extremely cold tomorrow with lows
around zero and highs only around 10.
Thursday afternoon we will then have a chance of a little light snow
that could accumulate a dusting to an inch. Friday temperatures will drop to
around zero again in the morning. Both Saturday and Sunday we will again have a
chance of some snow showers or light snow with light accumulations
possible. Next Tuesday the lows will
again drop to near zero, then another strong Nor'easter could form, bringing us
a chance of more snow next Tuesday night and Wednesday. Then a chance of more snow showers on Thursday
night and Friday, then a chance of snow next Saturday into Super Bowl Sunday
morning. It may be very cold for the
Super Bowl, with highs possibly only in the mid teens. Then another chance of snow showers the day
after the Super Bowl with a low again around zero. Click here or on the map below to view the latest snowfall output map from the Medium Range American model.
