Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

The temperatures dropped to around zero in most locations this morning, and the temperatures will only climb to around 10 degrees for the high today.  Temperatures will then gradually warm each day, reaching the low to mid 20’s tomorrow, the low 30’s on Thursday,  the upper 30’s on Friday afternoon, around 50 on Saturday and Sunday, and around 60 on Monday.  The next chance of precipitation will be the chance of a flurry on Thursday and the chance for a little light snow early on Friday morning that could give us a dusting.  Then a stronger storm will approach for Saturday, bringing rain that could start as a bit of freezing rain early on Saturday morning, but will change to heavy rain on Saturday afternoon.  Then another storm is likely to bring us more rain on Monday along with very warm temperatures.  Next Tuesday a cold front will pass through causing temperatures to drop back to more normal levels and bringing us a chance for some snow on Tuesday night and Wednesday of next week as a storm may form along the front.  Another storm may bring us a chance for snow next Saturday, followed by colder temperatures.
