The polar vortex will start making the trip back to where it
belongs today, with the temperatures gradually warming to high today around 20,
then 30 tomorrow, then 40 on Friday, then into the 50’s to possibly the upper
50’s by midnight on Saturday night. As
the warm air starts to move in on Friday it will cause some light snow that
could accumulate to a dusting to a half inch or so on Friday morning. Then a storm will approach on Saturday and it
will take a track to our west, allowing warm air to surge north into our area
and causing the high temperatures to reach the 50’s by late on Saturday, and
possibly to the upper 50’s by midnight on Saturday night. Then on Sunday as the storm departs it will
drag some cold air in here that could change the rain to some snow showers
before ending on Sunday afternoon.
Monday should then be a nice day.
Then the models are in major disagreement as to what will happen beyond
that. There may be another storm that
approaches us with more rain on Tuesday, if not then Tuesday would turn out to
be another nice day. Then another storm
is likely to approach on Wednesday night or Thursday. This storm could have more cold air to work
with and it would have the potential to bring us at least some snow showers on
Thursday. At the moment next Friday and
Saturday look nice, then there is the possibility of yet another storm
approaching with the chance of rain or snow toward the end of next week.
