European Model for Storm Next Weekend
It has two separate storms, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. The one on Saturday brings snow from Virginia north with 5-6 inches in the Northern and Central New Jersey, Southeastern New York, the New York City area and 8-9 inches down toward Baltimore and Washington. The second storm them moves in on Sunday and is the one that would have blizzard potential but it take a bit too long to get going and doesn't reach blizzard status until reaching Eastern New England, bringing the Northern New Jersey and New York City areas another 3 inches of snow on Sunday. Neither one of these storms gets any snow south of Virginia, other than in the Southern Appalachians. I am not yet sold though on this solution at all. I am leaning more toward a solution that would be a combination of the European and American models. Something just seemed a bit out of wack with the way this model put things together on this run. Have to wait to see the next two runs of the American model now and then next run of the European model is in the early afternoon. Have a nice evening.
