The storms that had looked like they could be significant this week all went down one after the other.
First it was the one last night that looked like it could leave us a couple of inches of snow at one point.... nothing.
Then the storm that had looked as if it could be fairly significant for Wednesday.... it will be maybe an inch at most, with many places only getting a dusting.
Then Saturday, if those two pieces would have come together, big time storm.... NOT going to happen.
Result is going to be a dusting to an inch at most.
Ok, now actually a bit of a surprise tonight as some Lake Effect snow showers popped up even though the Great Lakes are mostly frozen. Kind of amazing really.
Anyway, moving into next week we MAY be looking at a different story, maybe.
The pattern for next week looks quite different that it did for this week. I think we have a better chance of getting significant snow next week. Honestly though, our luck is going to have to run out here sooner or later. We have one chance after the other for snow every few days and next week possibly every two days. At least one of these is likely to hit us. This somewhat reminds me of what happened the week prior to the big storm the week before last. We had escaped several snow threats, only to get pounded by the 4th one. All of those also looked big initially, then died out, and then many people were surprised when the 4th one popped up. Maybe that will be the case next week also? We will just have to wait and see.
Next week there is a chance of a significant snowstorm on Monday, and another chance on Tuesday night into Wednesday, and yet another chance next Saturday.
Will our luck run out?
Check back for updates.
