National Weather Service is Starting to Panic to Some Degree

I was just reading some of the internal weather discussions after these latest runs came out and they are starting to freak out.  The latest medium-range American model that they were hinging their entire forecast on just increased amounts again but continues to play catch up.  It now shows 4-7 inches for all of Northern New Jersey from north to south, but even if you go with this, their most recent forecast was for 3-5 inches, which is most likely too low.
