The cold and snow will return, however, first we will have a
beautiful day today with a high in the mid to upper 40’s.
Tomorrow will still be nice but we will have a chance of a
snow shower with a high in the mid 40’s.
On Sunday night a weak disturbance will approach, bringing
the chance for a touch of light snow early in the morning that could leave a
dusting of accumulation. It will also be
much colder on Monday with lows in the teens and highs in the upper 20’s.
On Tuesday it will get much colder with lows in the single
digits in the morning. Also, another
weak disturbance will approach, again bringing us a chance for a snow shower in
the afternoon. Then at night a stronger
storm is likely to approach, bringing a chance for snow developing on Tuesday
night and continuing until the late morning or early afternoon on
Wednesday. This storm could leave us
with 2-5 inches of accumulation.
Thursday will then be nice, but cold, as the Polar Vortex
parks itself over Southern Canada. Lows on
Thursday will be in the single digits and highs only in the teens.
On Friday a storm system is likely to be moving along the
Gulf Coast at the same time that another disturbance drops down from
Canada. Depending upon whether or how
much these two disturbances merge; we will have a chance of snow on Friday
night and Saturday. If these two
disturbances fail to merge we will just have a chance of a snow shower. If they merge completely the entire East
Coast from North Carolina to Maine would get heavy snow on Friday night and
Saturday. We will just have to wait and
see.
More storms are likely to approach the following week on Monday
and Tuesday, and again for Wednesday afternoon and Thursday, bringing a chance for
more snow.
