The party is over… Say
goodbye to the warm weather and say hello to the return of the cold and snow…
We will have a slight chance of a rain shower during the day
today and a snow shower tonight into tomorrow morning that could leave a
dusting of snow by tomorrow morning.
It will then get colder and we may not get above freezing
again for a while. We will have more
snow again on Wednesday morning that is likely to accumulate to around 2
inches.
Then it will get even colder on Thursday as the Polar Vortex
parks itself over Southern Canada.
Then two disturbances will approach our area, one moving
along the Gulf Coast and one dropping down from Canada. At the moment it appears that these two
disturbances will partially phase, causing some accumulating snow on
Friday night and Saturday. If however
these two disturbances phase completely we would be looking at a much more
significant snow event along the East Coast.
We will need to keep a close eye on this potential.
Next week other storms will likely bring us snow on Sunday
night into Monday, Wednesday night into Thursday, and again on Saturday.
Will it ever end?
Well, yes it will. Often these
patterns break in the first week of March with the natural change of the
seasons, however at the moment this pattern seems to want to hold a bit longer,
maybe until the second week in March? We
will have to wait and see.
Check back for updates.
