Friday, March 14th, 2014 - Morning Weather Discussion

Follow me at, "TheEdgeWeather" on Twitter.

Temperatures will start out very cold this morning but will warm to the mid 40’s this afternoon.

Tomorrow will be even warmer than today, with a high in the low to mid 50’s, but we will have a chance of a shower.

Sunday a storm will be developing over the Southeastern United States.  This storm will start moving northeast in our direction at the same time that the Polar Vortex parks itself in southeastern Canada, supplying us with cold air.  There are still questions as to how far north this storm will make it, but at the moment it seems that this storm will make if far enough north to bring us snow from Sunday night through early Tuesday morning.

At the moment my best guess would be 4-8 inches of total accumulation but this total could easily go lower or higher depending upon how far north this storm comes. If the storm is squashed south of us, as the one was two weeks ago, it could mean no snow at all.  If it comes further north, we would have a chance of getting significantly more than the 4-8 inch guess that I am currently making.  Please check back for updates.

After this storm passes another storm will approach from the west on Wednesday, bringing a chance of more snow developing on Wednesday morning, then likely changing to rain in the afternoon and possibly continuing into Thursday morning.

We will then have a chance for some snow showers next Wednesday, followed by a chance for more rain or snow on Saturday night into Sunday.

There will be more chances for rain or snow on Monday and Wednesday of the following week and a chance of rain on Thursday.

Be sure to check back for updates.
