Most areas had the rain mix with or change to sleet and a
bit of snow overnight, but it melted in most locations as temperatures never
did get below freezing, except in some of the highest elevations. The rain, sleet, and snow will end this morning
and things will finally clear out and warm up, reaching the low 50’s this
afternoon.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy, but quite warm with a high
in the mid to upper 50’s.
Wednesday and Thursday we will have a chance of a shower
with highs around 50 both days.
Friday showers will be likely, especially at night, and it
will be cooler with a high in the mid 40’s.
Next weekend should be nice with highs in the upper 50’s on
Saturday and the upper 40’s on Sunday.
Then next Monday a situation similar to the big Nor’easter
that hammered Southeastern Massachusetts may once again develop next Monday
night and Tuesday as one storm will drop down from Canada at the same time that
another storm is moving along the Gulf Coast.
These two storms may combine to form a powerful storm somewhere in the Middle
Atlantic area. Depending on exactly
where this storm develops, if it develops at all, we will have either rain or
snow next Monday night and Tuesday. If
the storm develop and tracks inland we would have heavy rain and strong
winds. If the storm develops along or
off the coast and the track stays off shore, we would have a chance for rain or
snow.
After the potentially big storm departs on Tuesday night, we
will then have a chance for rain or snow showers next Wednesday.
