This storm has moved a bit closer today and it now looks as if most of us will see at least some flurries tonight into tomorrow morning.
Here is my best guess at the moment.
Northern Sussex County - flurries
Northern Warren, Southern Sussex, Northern Morris, Northern Passaic, Northern Bergen - flurries to a dusting
Southern Warren, Southern Morris, Southern Passaic, Northern Essex, Southern Bergen - a dusting to a half inch
Northern Hunterdon, Northern Somerset, Northern Middlesex, Southern Essex, Union, Hudson, and New York City - half an inch to an inch
Southern Hunterdon, Southern Somerset, Central Middlesex - one to one and half inches
Northern Mercer, Southern Middlesex, Northern Monmouth - one and a half inches to two inches
Rest of Central New Jersey - two to four inches
Southern New Jersey - four to seven inches
The next storm of concern will be on Wednesday. This storm could start as some light snow, sleet, or freezing rain if it starts on Wednesday morning. If it holds off until during the day on Wednesday it would just be rain showers. We will need to watch this closely.
Thursday should then warm to the upper 40's to low 50's, then cool down on Friday as another storm approaches our area.
A storm is then likely to approach on Friday night into Saturday morning that could bring us a bit of rain or snow depending on the exact track that the storm takes.
Next Monday a stronger storm will then start to develop along the Gulf Coast at the same time that the Polar Vortex once again makes a visit to Southeastern Canada. This will bring us another chance for snow next Tuesday as this storm moves in our direction. However, just as with this storm and the one earlier this month, I would start warning my friends down in Virginia as it will likely once again find a way to miss us to the south. I am just kidding of course, but it just seems to be working that way this month.''
Really need to keep a close eye on this potential storm for next Tuesday. I am seeing the potential for a VERY intense storm somewhere along the East Coast next Tuesday. Let's see what happens.
