The rain has started to mix with sleet in Northwest New Jersey, just as I had been saying was possible for many days now. And now that it has actually started to mix with sleet, all of a sudden, the National Weather Service decides to issue a Winter Weather Advisory for 1-2 inches of snow and sleet, that I had already said was possible this morning but they had said nothing about any accumulation until just now.

Also, there is still no mention of this possibility for Northeastern New Jersey. Well, people may be surprised in a bit when it starts to mix with sleet there and then changes to a mixture of sleet and snow later tonight. It may very well accumulate to a dusting to an inch or two in Northeastern New Jersey as well, especially in the higher elevations.
The snow and sleet mixture will end early in the morning, then it clear out and warm up to the low 50's.
Then Tuesday will be nice and warm, with highs in the upper 50's.
Wednesday we will have a chance of showers with a high in the upper 40's.
Thursday we will have a chance of a shower with a high in the low 50's.
Friday we will have a chance of a shower, with showers likely on Friday night and a high in the mid 40's.
Saturday and Sunday should then be quite nice with a high around 60 on Saturday and 50 on Sunday.
Next Monday we will have increasing cloudiness as a couple of disturbances approach our area.
Next Tuesday we will have a chance of rain or snow as the two approaching disturbances combine into one storm somewhere nearby. Depending on how these two storms come together and the track the storm takes, we will have either rain or snow next Tuesday.
Then next Wednesday and Thursday we will have a chance for some snow showers as unseasonably cold air will move into our area and a weak storm will approach from the west.
