Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

Well, the latest short-range models are suggesting that we could get 1-3 inches of snow tonight in Northern New Jersey, but I doubt that this really happens.  I think we will probably get some sleet and snow but I think it will have a really hard time accumulating.

The temperature has already dropped to 40 degrees at my weather station and the rain should start mixing with sleet and snow soon across Northern New Jersey.  I think some areas could get a dusting to an inch of accumulation but I expect that much of the snow that falls will melt before it has a chance to accumulate.  We will have to wait until later to see what happens.  In fact we may just have to wake up early tomorrow and look out the window.

After this storm passes we will have a cool day tomorrow with a low in the morning in the mid to upper 20's, and a high only in the mid to upper 40's.

We will then have nice but cool days on Thursday and Friday with a high around 50 on Thursday and in the low 50's on Friday.

Saturday we will then have just a slight chance of a shower and a high in the low 60's.

Easter Sunday and Monday should be beautiful with highs around 60 both days.

Next Tuesday will be rainy with a high in the mid to upper 50's.

Next Wednesday some showers are likely to linger into the morning with highs in the mid to upper 50's.

Next Thursday should be nice followed by another chance of showers next Friday, with rain possible next Saturday and Sunday with highs around 60 on Thursday and Friday, the 70's on Saturday, then dropping back to around 60 next Sunday.
