Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

I think I am finally about ready to call off winter...

First though, we will see nice days tomorrow and Thursday, with just a slight chance of a shower.  The high tomorrow should be in the mid to upper 50's and the low to mid 50's on Thursday.

Friday we will again see a chance of a shower, with showers likely at night and a high only in the mid 40's.

The weekend should then be nice, with highs in the mid to upper 50's both days.

The reason I am finally about ready to call off winter is that the one last storm that would have the potential to bring us a spring snowstorm is now looking as if it will take a track to our west.  This would allow warm air to remain in place in our area and bring us rain next Monday and a nice day next Tuesday with a high in the upper 50's.

The very last chance to bring us snow would be a potential storm to develop near Cape Hatteras, North Carolina on Wednesday.  This storm would likely be snow if it made it far enough north but it now looks as if it will remain well south and east of us, bringing us fair but chilly skies next Wednesday and Thursday with highs around 50.

I will certainly let you know if anything changes.
